Sioux Falls CTE Academy for HHS Students
The Sioux Falls School District provides hands-on, relevant learning opportunities for public high school students in the surrounding area. This state-of-the-art Academy offers a continuum of courses from introductory level to highly advanced level. Students attend their home high school to take core academic classes, such as English, math and science. They attend the Academy for a block of time each school day to receive their specialized training. Interested students should contact their School Counselor for registration information.
CTE Information for Harrisburg Students:
HHS students can take classes at CTE in the morning or at the end of day. You will need to have three periods open on your schedule (1st-3rd or 7th-9th) to allow the class and travel time.
Students must follow the Sioux Falls School District's calendar for their assigned CTE Academy class. There are some days on the calendar when Sioux Falls has classes, but HHS does not.
Bussing is available. The morning bus leaves at 7:15am. The afternoon bus returns to school at 3:15. With permission, students may drive themselves.
You must register with your counselor for CTE during Registration in the spring. A separate form must be filled out specifically for CTE courses.
Harrisburg students may have the opportunity to tour the CTE Academy in the Spring prior to registration to explore their facilities & Course Options.

(BUS LEAVES AT 7:15 AM from front of HHS; students return to HHS at 10:00 am)
BLOCK 3: 1:20PM-3:00PM
(BUS LEAVES AT 12:55 PM from front of HHS; students return to HHS at 3:20 pm)
