February 4, 2026, Pierre, SD - The School Administrators of South Dakota (SASD) held a luncheon at the Ramkota Convention Center to recognize the eleven Outstanding Administrators of South Dakota. Among the eleven Connie Alspach, Business Official Dupree School District, Jay Swatek, Elementary Principal, Tea Area School District, Kelly Messmer, High School Principal, Harding County School District, Dr. Jeff Danielsen, Superintendent, Watertown School District, Sherri Nelson, Curriculum Director, Brandon Valley School District, Bo Beck, Middle School Principal, Aberdeen School District, Monica Waltman, Special Education Director, Douglas School District, Richie Hutchinson, Assistant Middle School Principal, Sioux Falls School District, David Olson, Middle School Principal, Meade School District, Kay Bass, Assistant High School Principal, Harrisburg School District, Kendra Becker, High School Principal, Redfield School District, for being named outstanding administrators by their respective administrator parent groups.
Following the luncheon, the Outstanding Administrators were presented on the floors of the House and Senate and recognized with a legislative commemoration.
The Outstanding Administrators Luncheon is an annual event sponsored by the School Administrators of South Dakota, a statewide professional organization for school Administrators in South Dakota.
