We're thrilled to announce that our Harrisburg SMS and HHS students have just returned from an incredible experience at the 2024 Educators Rising National Conference in Washington, D.C.! The conference, which ran from June 28 to July 1, provided our aspiring educators with an amazing opportunity to compete, learn, and grow in their passion for teaching. Our students participated in educational competitive events and attended various sessions related to the field of education. These competitions allowed our students to showcase their teaching skills and creativity on a national stage. We're proud to highlight some outstanding achievements - Katelyn Christopherson (6th Place in STEM Lesson Plan) and Emily Watson: (Red Ribbon winner in Interactive Bulletin Board). Throughout the four-day event, our future educators: Connected with peers from across the country; Attended over 40 breakout sessions; Networked with education professionals; and Gained inspiration from keynote speakers, including Rebecka Peterson, the 2023 National Teacher of the Year. We're incredibly proud of all our students who participated. Their dedication to pursuing careers in education is inspiring, and we can't wait to see how they'll shape the future of learning. #EdRising24 @EdRisingSD
